You claimed me and named me

From your first "I love you"
To your loving kiss
Your hugs
Your smiles
were the greatest gifts
and while we wanted to take off
our wings were to weak to lift
the weight of our burdens
that we had no place to shift
Now and again I say

But I know we can't grow
so I must forget it.
things weren't perfect
but our time was treasured

If you have followed my blog over the years, you have seen me get separated, divorced, and hit the dating scene. Its been a long road. There was a time that I was dating just to get my feet wet. I just wanted to get into the habit of conversing and entertaining men in a way that I hadn't due to the confines of marriage. I just wanted to be single again. Eventually I came to want more. I've heard at least a dozen people proclaim their disgust with the success of Donald Trumps Presidential campaign. I'm lying, it's been everywhere. On social media, articles, and conversation you hear plenty people express their disdain at the mere thought of Trump assuming office. Then there are the supporters. There are the people who openly express their support of Trump winning the White House.
