Losing It: The Ballad Of Steven Slater

There once was a man who did what he can
if you needed a hand, he'd lend it
but there came a day where he had a few expletives to say
this is a ballad about Steven Slater the Flight Attendant

See Steven was a guy who'd often try
to get the passengers seated
but there was a lady on board moving on her own accord
and her lack of action made poor Stevie quite heated

So being committed to his career of six or seven plus years
Steven tried to put her in her place
but this here lady drove little Steven crazy
when her bag knocked him square in the face

See Steven after taking a bit of beating realized
he's not so tough
so he went to the intercom said some words that would shame his mom
and basically said he had enough

and after his tirade on that plane, he said that he finally quit
but not before he opened the emergency door
and slid right out of it

What made Stevie snap, we'll never know
but one thing is certainly clear
Steven made sure that that before he'd go
he wasn't leaving without his beer.

And so that night, all seemed right
as his day was unlike any other
and a happy Steven Slater fell fast asleep
in the arms of his masculine lover.

And so ends the ballad of Steven Slater
the flight attendant who it seems had lost his mind
so tired of work, he cursed out the jerks
and most of us aren't far behind.
So I understand the anger of that man
who was trying to do his work
take this lesson and you'll find a blessing
that sometimes you just have to curse out those jerks.

K-Ci & Jo-Jo Come Clean.... : REVIEW

When I heard that K-Ci and Jo-Jo were coming out with a reality show documenting their experience going through rehab, I was excited. The first thing I wanted to know was which one was K-Ci and which one was Jo-Jo (yes, it has been that long since I have seen let alone heard of them since highschool). I always loved Jodeci and when the two lead singers of the group branched off and made a few ballads I looked forward to hearing more, but more never came. Years passed by and I continued to play their hits and came to terms with the fact that this group was never going to reunite and the two brothers whose vocals lead the group to super stardom with were coked up and out for the count. Enter K-Ci and Jo-Jo: Coming Clean. I figured they were going to finally boot the snow blizzard that packed their nostrils. WRONG. They are kicking the alcohol habit. They claim that there was never a drug problem. We all have heard otherwise, but they insist. If moscato can turn me into what these t...

Geek of The Week: Meet Anthony, Creator of the Geek Forum That's Taking Facebook By Storm

I met Anthony about two decades ago, and I'm being stingy with the time so not to reveal how ancient I truly am. We were high school kids in New York and life was fast paced. I never realized how unique he was because New York is full of diversity and well...eclectic people. Years later, I came to appreciate him in all his geekiness and realized that we had a common thread in all things geek and freak. So he is my geek of the week. Anthony has spearheaded a group called Gamers Geeks and Comic Book Freaks , or GGCF if you're nasty... or geeky. This group allows all sorts of gamers, comic book lovers and self proclaimed geeks to share intellectual discussion, gaming advice, comic book news and more. It's the place on Facebook where all the geeks go and believe me, there is an army of them. Joining the group is pretty easy...just ask. Anthony has created many different forums within the group itself so he can direct you to the page that works best for you. In addition to ...

The First Time: Act Like You Know

" You know I care about you", he whined. He always seemed to whine when he was trying to persuade her. His brown eyes were wild and pleading. She didn't want to. She couldn't put a finger on why she didn't or when she would, but she just didn't. He still kept at it. What was a conversation became a debate. Every sentence said was in the form of an argument. He was stating his case. Why was he so passionate? "I'm not going to go anywhere. You know that." His frustration became apparent. He was annoyed with her for being so indecisive. He was impatient. He didn't want an answer, he wanted "the answer". She began to feel nervous. He did care for her, she knew that ... he isn't going anywhere... she knew that . Why was it so hard to give in? He finally relented with a few cuss words and turned his back to her. She felt like she upset him. Her nurturing instinct told her to make him feel better. She touched his shoulder, be...
